A key figure in the development of the Quebec and Canadian renewable energy sectors, Frédéric Côté works with decision-makers, SMEs and various national and international events, where he acts as a spokesperson for the industry and promotes the full-scale deployment of the energies of tomorrow.
A passionate leader and appreciated by his peers, Frédéric Côté has served since 2009 as General Manager at Nergica, an applied research centre specializing in renewable energy. Under his leadership, Nergica has enjoyed substantial growth and has taken on an international dimension, notably with the establishment of unique research infrastructures and the acquisition of leading-edge expertise in renewable energy development in cold climates and complex terrain.
Designated by Windpower Monthly as one of the 24 most influential and interesting leaders in the international wind energy industry, Frédéric strives to promote the emergence and positioning of renewable energy to meet the economic, social and environmental challenges of the 21st century.
Deeply involved in the community, Frédéric is a board member of both the Association québécoise de la production d’énergie renouvelable (AQPER) and the Synchronex network of college technology transfer centres (CCTT). Frédéric holds an MBA from Université du Québec à Montréal.
